Spotlight on: The Greater Boston Food Bank

The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) is New England’s largest hunger-relief organization and one of the largest food banks in the country. Driven by the compassion and dedication of supporters, staff, partners, and volunteers, GBFB takes a bold and innovative approach to its mission: End Hunger Here.

Each year, GBFB distributes millions of pounds of nutritious food to individuals and families across Eastern Massachusetts who are struggling to access enough to eat—107 million pounds last year alone. Their goal is ambitious yet vital: to ensure every person in need has access to three healthy meals a day while strengthening the health and resilience of local communities.

As a proud member of Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger-relief network, GBFB is part of a powerful national effort to address food insecurity. Through compassion and collective action, they believe that together, we truly have the power to End Hunger Here.
